1 John 1:1-3
“From the very first day, we were there, taking it all in—we heard it with our own ears, saw it with our own eyes, verified it with our own hands. The Word of Life appeared right before our eyes; we saw it happen! And now we’re telling you in most sober prose that what we witnessed was, incredibly, this: The infinite Life of God himself took shape before us. We saw it, we heard it, and now we’re telling you so you can experience it along with us, this experience of communion with the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ. Our motive for writing is simply this: We want you to enjoy this, too. Your joy will double our joy!”
God desires that our lives are ruled and governed by His Word. God’s Word is the potential that governs the entire universe. “He holds the universe together and expands it by the mighty power of His spoken Word. He made people clean from their wrong ways. Then He sat down beside God in Heaven”. (Hebrew 1:13).
As God’s Children our lives must be submitted to the Word of God. The Word of God should be the final authority from which we draw our conclusions, perspective, and opinions on life.
The sustenance of our sanity and excelling as believers are dependent on how much we have been able to submit to the Word of God. Jesus said, “it takes more than bread (food) to stay alive. It takes a steady stream of Words from God’s mouth”. (Matthew 4:4)
The Word of God is GOD and It baffles me when Christians approach me that they don’t or can’t hear God. A little digging into their lives and you discover that they do not spend time with the Holy scriptures (THE BIBLE). The Bible is God’ds open letter to all His Children, to ignore it daily is risky.
The Bible is an open manual on how to sojourn the earth successfully in a way that brings Glory to God. God has written a scripture about every single life He allows to come to earth. We have to do our part to discover what was written about us upon our arrival here.
So I, said, “I’m here to do it Your way, O God, the way it’s described in Your Book (Bible)”. (Hebrews 10:7 MSG.)
Prayer: Lord, help me to build my life around your Word. Amen
