Part Of One Body (Christ’s)

Text: 1 Corinthians 12:17-20TPT

As funny as it may sound, many of us think God requires the extravagance of being at the forefront of a crusade or church to advance His kingdom. Just like every business, we have those at the forefront which we see almost every time doing the work; and there are also some behind the scenes you don’t always get to see but in all sense, they all are individual parts working in unity for the same goal.

The question now is what does it mean to advance the kingdom of God?

1 Corinthians 12:17-20 TPT says,

“Think of it this way. If the whole body were just an eyeball, how could it hear sounds? And if the whole body were just an ear, how could it smell different fragrances? But God has carefully designed each member and placed it in the body to function as he desires. Diversity is required, for if the body consisted of one single part, there wouldn’t be a body at all! So now we see that there are many different parts and functions, but one body.”

‘’God loves diversity and that is why he made every man unique and different in his way.’’

The simple truth is that you don’t have to be a pastor or an apostle before you can advance God’s kingdom. God doesn’t want everyone to be a pastor or an apostle because everyone can’t be at forefront of affairs or be the head.

But, God wants everyone to be a minister (a witness). A witness is someone who affirms a claim or confirms that something done or said is true. We are all created to be a minister or witnesses of God here on earth using our unique skills or gifts to advance His kingdom.
