Habakkuk 2:2-3
Then the LORD answered me: “Write down this vision and clearly inscribe it on tablets, so that a herald may run with it. For the vision awaits an appointed time; it testifies of the end and does not lie. Though it lingers, wait for it, since it will surely come and will not delay

Taking a flight simply means to gain momentum or speed. we sure need speed to arrive at our final destination timely. As we may know, there is time for everything and every journey has a starting and ending time allocated to it. So, we all need speed in our journey to eliminate any form of delay. But speed doesn’t come merely. So, we would need help to be able to gain access to that speed we need to complete our journey at its appointed time and just as Psalm 124:8 help us to understand that our help comes from the Lord who made the heavens and the earth.

Speed is importance in any of our endeavors, and the best way to be certain that the speed we need will be just the right amount is to trust God who made all things(1 Corinthians 10:26) and He who can order our steps on where to go and what to do to arrive at a desirable end (Jeremiah 29:11).

Yes, this is that time of the year where everyone makes plans for the year or sets their goals for the year. So, writing down plans is now more of a general thing and practically everyone is keen on writing out their plans and what they want to achieve in the course of the year. Yes, it is a good thing to write down your plans or visions so even though you seem distracted or get carried away by the issues or activities of life, you can always have something to remind you of what you’ve set out for yourself for the year or a particular season so you can refocus and reset yourself on the right course.

But the question is what are you writing?

This is a question you should ask yourself when you make your plans plain in writing. Naturally, human’s wants are insatiable and this should give you a clear picture of how sometimes we can over burden ourselves with many wants and at the end of the year or a season, we end up not achieving our plans or visions and we probably begin to think of ourselves as failures or incompetent.

Matthew 7:7-8 says;
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened”.

So why shouldn’t you ask God (your Father in heaven) through which all things are created what is the perfect way and plans for you to take flight as you start the year.
