THE HUMAN CONDITION (The state of the world)

“Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.”
I had an interesting but rather disheartening conversation with a friend during the week about sexual immortality in the country and world at large and it revealed, even more, how far behind this present generation has gone.
Our simple acceptance of how things have been (culture or trends) has affected most of our rational thinking, that we believe that some acts or actions are justifiable even though we know it is wrong.
For example, society has made sexual immortality look like a mere thing and has found a kind of weak-minded rationale to justify such unacceptable acts by saying ”It is normal for a human, especially a man (the male gender) to cheat or to have extra marital affairs because man is the head and can do whatever he likes.
Others argue that it’s because humans generally have higher sexual urges that need to be satisfied anytime compared to lower animals like dogs. Even our movies now portray same-gender sex (homosexuality) as a normal thing.
It doesn’t stop there. The world system (Culture) also what’s to force everyone to accept these immoralities as normal and find a way to console people that indulge in them, and paint as bad those who don’t.
Why such rationale? I wondered.
The sad news is this immorality has eaten deep and people have decided to keep embracing darkness even though the light is staring them in the face.
The Bible did make it clear in Daniel 12:4 that in the last days, the knowledge of the kingdom of God will be made known everywhere and then the issue of ignorance, or I didn’t know would have been eliminated when the Messiah comes with His judgment. But it is sad that some people chose to be ignorant or turn a blind eye to what is right.
And the question remains, Why this rationale?
Why does the world consider immoral behaviors to be normal (Not bad) even when they know it isn’t right?
