“God blessed them and told them, “Multiply and fill the earth and subdue it. Be masters over the fish and birds and all the animals.”
The formative years of a child are important. This is the period that most likely charts the destiny of the child.
The information fed to the child during this period forms his mindset and way of thinking for life, except it is changed through intentional efforts. After God created man, you can see him trying to store the right information in his spirit, by speaking to him words of dominion.
What has your mind and spirit been fed? What are you feeding it currently? Are you always discouraged and depressed? Are you struggling in your finances or other areas of life? Is your spiritual life always up and down? It’s what has been fed or you’re feeding to your spirit. If you don’t feed your mind and spirit with the truth of God’s word, believe me, it’s still going to be fed by the world.
What negative thought patterns have been holding you back in any area of your life? It’s time time to let them go. It’s time to begin to configure your spirit with the truth of God’s word.
Philippians 2:5 MSB says, “think of yourself the way Christ thought of himself”.
Christ was able to think of himself how he did because of the kind of information he has stored in his spirit. Would Christ have been depressed and discouraged in difficult situations? Would Christ allow himself to be weighed down with sin and other negative habits? Would Christ think he is not enough and can’t be everything God wants him to be?
This is the kind of mind you should have. And this mind comes by discovering yourself through the light of God’s words. Delve into your Bible to see what God says about you. Meditate over scriptures, and listen to messages over and over again until they are rooted in your subconscious. Pray by the spirit, and allow his illuminate your heart.
These are some of the key ways to feed your spirit and think, act and become like Christ.
