Text: Ezekiel 28:17-18NLT
The devil (Lucifer) is still at work today trying to bring all mankind to the same end that befell him because of his rebellion and rejection of the predestined and perfect will of God for him.
And you [He(Christ) made alive when you] were [spiritually] dead and separated from Him because of your transgressions and sins, in which you once walked. You were following the ways of this world [influenced by this present age(Satan)], by the prince of the power of the air (Satan), the spirit who is now at work in the disobedient [the unbelieving, who fight against the purposes of God]. (Ephesians 2:1-2AMP)
Brethren, we need to be wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove (walking in the faith of the spirit) as we work out our faith with fear and trembling. The devil is not sleeping and he sure wants to take as many as he could down with him by making us conform to his customs, values, standards, and ways of disobedience which conflict with the standard and way of God.
God speaking in Revelation 3:17-18AMP said,
“Because you say, “I am rich, and have prospered and grown wealthy, and need nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and poor and blind and naked [without hope and in great need], I counsel you to buy from Me gold that has been heated red hot and refined by fire (splendor, glory, and riches that won’t perish) so that you may become truly rich; and white clothes [representing righteousness] to clothe yourself so that the shame of your nakedness will not be seen, and healing salve to put on your eyes so that you may see.
Conclusion
God loves us all and He doesn’t want us to end up like the once glorious being full of splendor and beauty.
God is calling all mankind to himself today saying, “Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I rebuke and discipline [showing them their faults and instructing them]; so be enthusiastic and repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, your sinful behavior—seek God’s will]. (Revelation 3:19AMP).
