Text: 2 Peter 3:18AMP
“but grow [spiritually mature] in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory (honor, majesty, splendor), both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.”
There’s so much confusion on earth and things are changing so fast that every day we lose ourselves to the ways of this world. Immorality has been sold to us as a way of life and the world has bought into it.
It is time to wake up!
The question is why is there so much darkness on earth? The simple answer is we have become comfortable living a life of sin (Immorality) or become complacent with our level of transformation into the true image of God (Moral behavior) that we go about life rising and falling.
Understandably, your old life and behavior cannot be changed in a day, but God wants that continuous effort and change from how we used to think and act according to the values and patterns of the world. (Galatians 5:19)
2 Corinthians 3:18 say;
“And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit”.
First, we need to see clearly with our eyes opened (Spiritual enlightenment) through the word of God by growing in the knowledge of Christ and through the lens of the Holy Spirit who can help us see clearly and reveal the truth of the living word (Jesus) and life of God to us. Then we will know for sure the glory ( true nature) of God we are to grow into progressively (one step at a time). [1 Corinthians 2:10, John 15:26-27]
Second, we need to sacrifice our desire for the things of the world (Immorality, Galatians 5:19) to live the life of Christ. (Romans 13:14).
Prayer: My eyes are open to see clearly, and through God’s word, I confirm every day to his image and likeness.
