Text: Mark 11: 20 -23

“The next morning as they passed by the fig tree he had cursed, the disciples noticed it was withered from the roots.

  1. Peter remembered what Jesus had said to the tree on the previous day and exclaimed, “Look, Teacher! The fig tree you cursed has withered!”
  2. Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God.
  3. I assure you that you can say to this mountain, ‘May God lift you up and throw you into the sea,’ and your command will be obeyed. All that’s required is that you really believe and do not doubt in your heart.

The first principle we see here from Jesus’s reply is the principle of Faith. Have FAITH in God! This is powerful. Our simple faith in God, our simple belief in Him is a message to God and the creation that we TRUST Him.

The Bible says without Faith it is impossible to please God (Heb 11:6). It takes faith to speak. (Heb 11:3) tells us that by faith the worlds were framed by the word of God.

Second is WHOSOEVER SHALL SAY. Whosoever means anybody, be it a believer, an unbeliever, an atheist, etc. The point is it doesn’t matter who the person is as far as that person engages the law of speaking to that mountain (which can represent anything in your life) and does not doubt in his heart, but believes in what he has spoken, He said, that whosoever shall have whatsoever he says.

In other words, this principle of speaking to things works for all and sundry as far as you understand how to engage it. It has nothing to do with tribe, religion, or tenets of faith but it has all to do with knowing and engaging that principle.

That means you can consciously begin to practice this principle in your life. What is that thing that is before you? What is that thing that you want to change? You can frame your life and destiny with your words. In other words, you call forth those things that be not as though they were.

Prayer – As I speak the word of God into every area of my life this year, it bring results in Jesus’ name.
