Text: John 14:6
“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
The world is full of several kinds of faith systems. All these faith systems have their own sets of beliefs that makes those practicing them feel they are on the right lane.
Understand that the Christian faith is not a set of philosophical ideas that any individual cooked up. It is a faith system that is rooted in verified history — the Gospel. The Gospel is the good news about the whole life of Jesus Christ all for the salvation of man. These are not sets of ideas but verifiable events.
Jesus told Thomas, no one can access the Father except through him. Because he is the only way, truth, and life for mankind. God’s redemption plan for mankind is based on these few words spoken by Jesus Christ himself. He came to show man the way back to the Father, so His original plan for man can be established here on earth.
Any faith that does not point to Jesus as the only way, is bound to lead man astray. Beware of any faith that points out other means of accessing the father. We can verify this in John 10:1. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. Jesus himself called them a thief trying to use other means of entrance. Jesus is the only way to salvation.
