Text: 2 Samuel 5:20
So David went to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there; and he said, “The LORD has broken through my enemies before me, like a breakthrough of water.” Therefore he called the name of that place Baal Perazim.

Baal Perazim means the Lord of breaking through/Victory. Many times we are pressed on all sides by different circumstances. And many people see those pressures as an affliction from the enemy. In life, you will always have enemies irrespective of your side. Enemies afflict to make life miserable and difficult.

Today I want to encourage you that the Lord is breaking through that difficult situation, not just the situation alone but all who are standing against you. In 1 Chronicle 14:11AMPC, Baal Perazim is likened to the bursting through of waters. Hallelujah.

We all need this outstretched hand of God in every area of our lives, especially with work and in our nation, cause you will always be a target for the enemy, but today, the Lord has raised a standard for you.
Why do we need Baal Perazim? The Lord wants to show himself mighty all the time, in every situation. The Lord loves expressing his unfathomable might. Isaiah 28:21 says, ” For the LORD will rise up as at Mount Perazim. He will rouse Himself as in the Valley of Gibeon, to do His work, His strange work, and to perform His task, His disturbing task.

How wonderful it is to have the Lord on your side. Go forth this week, having the God of Baal Perazim at your side.
